CORPORATE GOVERNANCE
The Board of directors (“the Board”) of SMC International Contractors Limited (SMC) is the backbone of SMC’s system of corporate governance. It is ultimately responsible and accountable for the affairs and overall performance of SMC.
Accordingly, the Board wholeheartedly embraces the doctrine of good governance as set out in a number of governance frameworks of International Standards.
Role and Functions of the Board
The Board exercises enterprise, integrity, judgment and leadership in navigating SMC towards achieving continued prosperity in its investments. The Board is duty-bound to act in the best interests of SMC in a manner based on accountability, responsibility, integrity and transparency.
